Spoonful of Sensory is an online store which offers a curated collection of developmental play boxes, toys, books, puzzles and games that promote sensory exploration, hands-on learning and purposeful play for babies and children.

Spoonful of Sensory launched in September 2024. As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, I am passionate about helping children and their families discover the benefits of learning through play. I am also passionate about the gift of giving, and wanted to provide a simple and stress-free solution for anyone who is looking for the perfect gift for a baby or child – a thoughtful, practical, sustainable gift that will support their early development – and bring them joy for many years to come!

There is an endless amount of advice and information out there on child development, and it can be overwhelming to navigate. We’ve done all the research so you don’t have to – and we’re here to support you every step of the way! We want parents and caregivers to feel confident and empowered when it comes to nurturing their child’s development. We provide helpful information on child development, easy-to-follow tips, and fun-filled playtime ideas!

The products in our collection are sustainable pieces that are designed to be enjoyed for many years to come, and can then be passed down for future generations to enjoy. Where possible, we have tried to source our products from other small businesses based in Australia.
